Lorry Training & Test Centre Doncaster

Euro 1 Training are proud to provide comprehensive lorry driver training at our own test and training centre in Doncaster.

Our training courses will provide candidates with the necessary skills needed to operate LGVs or HGVs, depending on the course they take part in.

We are an accredited DVSA test centre, providing training and testing from our Doncaster site for HGV and LGV vehicle licences. With Euro 1 Training, you can pass your test in the same place that you learn!

We became a DVSA test centre back in 2016, and have many happy people that are now certified drivers! See our Facebook page for more updates!

LGV Training

Our LGV training covers the Class C+E category, which is the highest certification available to lorry drivers. With this qualification, drivers are certified to operate vehicles that weigh over 7.5 tonnes as well as trailers weighing more than 750kg.

Our courses are delivered by our certified and trained instructors through one-to-one sessions and the practicing of various manoeuvres.

HGV Training

Our HGV training gives candidates the opportunity to earn the Class C certification. This license allows drivers to operate a range of trucks and lorries – it’s the most commonly-held licence, and it opens a range of doors for those who hold it.

Like the LGV training courses, the HGV courses consist of one-to-one sessions and practical manoeuvres.

If you want to take your test, give us a call and we can book your course. Take a look at our article, HGV/LGV Driver Training: What to Expect, for an insight into the courses.

What is the difference between HGV and LGV?

While HGV and LGV stand for two different things – Heavy Goods Vehicle and Large Goods Vehicle respectively – there is actually only one UK license for both. Technically speaking, it covers commercial trucks with a gross mass of 3500kg – from Luton vans to tipper trucks, there’s a variety of vehicles that fall under that bracket.

The courses here at Euro 1 Training will ensure that you’re prepared for a variety of real work environments, standing you in good stead for future employment. We’ve been providing this kind of training for over 25 years, and our experienced instructors will make sure each candidate gets as much as possible out of the course.

Courses start at £995, and they’re ideal for individuals or businesses who’d like training for their staff.
